Meet Your Coven

Dr. Michelle Jacobson, OBGYN

Dr. Jacobson is often referred to as "the doctor that other doctors call" when they need to consult on complex women's gynaecological health related issues or learn about the latest advancements in menopause management.

She is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with a fellowship in Menopause from the University of Toronto, followed by a Masters of Health Science in translational research.

As a BRCA gene carrier, Michelle is passionate about advancing early detection, treatment and patient support through her clinical practice. Her research in this area has led to the development of a national community of practice in hereditary breast and ovarian cancer that she created and chairs.

Bottom line, she cares very deeply for women and their wellbeing and she is committed to making patient centric changes to our standard(s) of care.

Aliya Hajee, MN, NP

Aliya Hajee is a Nurse Practitioner in Ontario with a special interest in women’s health. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Western University, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing and her Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner certificate at McMaster University.

Aliya brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to her work, having navigated her own hormone health challenges. This has shaped her commitment to providing the kind of care every woman deserves—care that is thorough, compassionate, and grounded in evidence, where they feel seen, heard, and supported through every stage of life.

She works closely with patients to understand their symptoms and create care plans that fit into their lives. Whether it’s perimenopause, postmenopause, or other health concerns, she believes women shouldn’t have to settle for vague answers or feeling dismissed.

Nishta Saxena, RD

I’ve been a practicing clinical dietitian nutritionist for 22+ years. The foundation of the work I do with families has been centered around women.

My passion for serving women through their hormonal lifecycle is rooted in advocacy and amplification of women’s voices and concerns. My own mother’s journey through these cycles is the heart of why I want to work with Coven; every woman deserves to be heard, helped and healed in their health experience. That comes through multi-disciplinary expertise, support, and solid strategies that work.

I’m also mother of 2 vibrant teens, and caregiver to elders in my life. I have a major passion for weightlifting, a background in dance,  and fervor for building community. I’ve been told I’m funny, but I haven’t figured out it it’s a compliment yet.

Britt Trigg, RN, Health Coach

As a Registered Nurse with nearly two decades of experience practicing exclusively in Women's Health Care, I have supported patients through fertility treatments, labour and delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, colposcopy, general gynecology, vulva and pessary care.

It is my pleasure to take all that I have learned along my Nursing journey and share that wisdom with you. If you have questions, please ask! As your Health Coach, I am here to get to know YOU so that we can work together to determine what your gaols are and how our team of experts can best support them. Along your journey I'll be advocating and cheering for you as our team helps you feel like yourself again!

Erica Pertesen, NP

I am a Nurse Practitoner licensed in Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador. I have extensive clinical experience in primary care, Hepatitis C management, Travel Health, with a special interest in women’s health.

I am deeply passionate about hormone health, a commitment shaped by both clinical experience and personal insight. In my work in primary care, I have seen the profound ways hormonal imbalances can impact women’s daily lives—often presenting with symptoms that are overlooked or misattributed. By focusing on identifying the root cause and implementing personalized, evidence-based strategies, I’ve seen how significantly we can improve quality of life and restore daily functioning.

Rachel Hamilton, RN,

Health Coach

I have been a Registered Nurse for the last decade, focusing specifically in Women and Infant Health. I am extremely passionate about helping others, specifically women, and enjoy being an advocate and resource as they navigate difficult life changes.

I am a mom of two young kids, three if you include the dog. I have been an athlete my entire life and have carried all of the lessons I've learned in sport into adulthood. I will always find time to move my body and love showing my kids that women are strong, we work hard and that we deserve to take up space.

Dominique Williams, RSW

My clinical approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and a client-centered framework. I specialize in supporting women through peri-menopause, depression, anxiety, disordered eating, poor body image and chronic health conditions.

In 2021, I reached the end of my breast cancer journey but I found myself facing a new set of challenges related to peri-menopause. Years of researching, reflecting, and navigating my own journey through tears and night sweats saw me develop a passion for helping women experiencing their own health challenges.
