Migraine & Hormones
Migraine is more than "just a headache."
For many women, migraine can affect work, relationships, sleep, mood, and overall quality of life. Symptoms often change throughout life, particularly during menstruation, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause.
If you've noticed your headaches seem connected to your cycle, hormones, sleep, or stress, you're not imagining it.
At Coven, we help women explore the bigger picture through a hormone-informed, whole-person approach to care.

Migraine is more than "just a headache."
For many women, migraine is a complex neurological condition that can affect every aspect of life—from work and relationships to sleep, mood, and overall wellbeing.
What many women don't realize is that hormones can play an important role in migraine patterns and symptom severity.
You may notice headaches or migraine becoming worse:
Around your menstrual cycle
During ovulation
After having a baby
During perimenopause
During menopause
When starting or stopping hormonal medications
Yet these connections are often overlooked, leaving women feeling dismissed, frustrated, and stuck searching for answers.
At Coven, we take a whole-person approach to understanding migraine and headache symptoms.
Common Signs Your Hormones May Be Part of the Story
You may benefit from a hormonal health assessment if:
Your migraines seem tied to your menstrual cycle
Your headaches worsened after pregnancy or postpartum
Migraine symptoms have changed in your 40s or 50s
You experience sleep disruption alongside headaches
Your symptoms fluctuate throughout the month
You're struggling with fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, or mood changes alongside migraine
You suspect hormones may be contributing but haven't received clear answers
Our Approach
We know that migraine doesn't happen in isolation.

Nutrition and hydration
Lifestyle patterns and triggers

Previous treatments and care experiences
Our goal is not simply to manage symptoms.
